Yes! We now offer a one-way paddle option with pickup service for an additional fee. You’ll paddle from Lake Dora to The Fish Camp, enjoy your brunch, and we’ll meet you there at a scheduled time to bring you (and your gear) back to our launch location. It’s a great choice if you prefer a more relaxed morning or if you're not up for the return paddle.

Is this a guided tour?

No, The Brunch Voyage is self-guided. We’ll provide a route overview and safety tips before you head out.

Will I get wet?

How much rental time do I need to paddle at your location?

Our paddle route is approximately 2.5-3 miles total in length. The average paddler can paddle this is about 2-3 hours. **If you plan to stop at Fish Camp (waterfront restaurant on Lake Eustis) we would recommend a 4-hour paddle rental, so you are not rushed at the restaurant.

Is prior experience required?

Some experience is recommended due to motorboat traffic and varying wind conditions on Lake Dora. We give our paddle board lessons on a smaller lake in the area with advance reservations. Please give us a call at 352-217-5012 if you would like to schedule a paddle board lesson.

What should I bring?

Comfortable clothing, sunscreen, hat, and water bottle for hydration.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If weather conditions are unsafe (lightning, high winds, etc.) we will contact you to reschedule or offer a full refund.

Will we definitely see manatees during the tour?

While we cannot guarantee a sighting, our tours take place in areas known for frequent manatee activity. Our experienced guides know the best spots and times for manatee sightings, significantly increasing the chances of encountering these gentle giants.

What is the best time of year to see manatees?

Manatees are most commonly seen in the winter months, from November to March, when they seek warmer waters. However, sightings are possible year-round, and our guides are skilled at finding them even outside the peak season.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the tour?

Safety is our top priority. In case of severe weather conditions, we may need to reschedule or cancel the tour. We will notify you as soon as possible and offer alternative dates or a full refund.

Are there restroom facilities available during the tour?

There are no restroom facilities at the launch site. The closest public restroom is located at Valentine Park, which is approximately one mile before the launch site. We recommend using the restroom at Valentine Park before arriving at the launch point to ensure your comfort during the tour.

Do tour guides accept tips?

Our guides do accept tips, and they are greatly appreciated. Tipping is left up to the individual, but as a general practice, 15% – 20% of the trip cost is the common gratuity in Orlando.

Super nice staff, fantastic nature scenery, and comfortable gear. I went out on a slow Friday afternoon on a medium hot day. My family and I rented 2 tandem kayaks and did the 2 hour canal tour. It was beautiful! It was covered by huge Cypress and oak trees almost the entire way so even though it was in the mid 80s, we stayed cool. There's no current in the canal so it would be perfect for beginners. We saw tons of wildlife; great blue herons, egrets, turtles, ospreys, a bald eagle and baby alligators! There was some boat traffic in the canal so the earlier you go out, the better. But overall it was, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

We had the BEST experience with Adventure Outdoor Paddle! I called at the last minute to add a guided tour, and I am so glad we did—it completely made the trip.Our guide was absolutely amazing. She was so knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what she does. She took her time with us, was incredibly patient with my son, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Had a great time with amazing views. Katrina was very nice and took pictures for us before we launched off. They provided us a dry bag and water proof sheet of the wildlife too! Arranged for an alternate launch spot so we would have more time on the canal, showed us fun little surprises off the other branches of the canal. Weather was hot but most of where we were was so shaded it was actually cooler on the canal than on our patio. We added the lunch option to our tour as well and it was a great way to end our morning out. Great little business and super friendly service. Katrina greeted us upon arriving at the lake. She was super friendly, helpful and answered all of our questions, told us about the town and gave us some coffee and lunch suggestions. The creek was running very heavy due to some recent rains and the city having the damn open, which causes there to be a pretty good current that causes the paddle back to be significantly more challenging and requires more time on the water. Katrina explained to us that they were giving everybody one extra hour with purchased time allotment this week because of that. That is a business that shows respect to their customers and knows how to run a good business!

One of the best date experiences we’ve had in Central Florida! Highly recommended.We booked a four-hour tandem kayak rental, filled out the waivers online. The rental was $70, which was a little higher than renting a tandem at some of the springs, but it was well worth it to be able to choose our start time and avoid worrying about whether or not we’d even be able to get in.We arrived 10 minutes early and were in the water at our scheduled start time. The attendant was friendly, informative, and helpful. The kayak felt safe and sturdy, and we didn’t have any concerns about tipping over despite moderate Memorial Day boat traffic.Four hours is more than enough time to enjoy the scenery. We went too fast on the departure and arrived at Fish Camp in 36 minutes, had some delicious lunch and a drink, and took our time returning.Dora Canal was absolutely beautiful! My spouse and I absolutely loved this adventure of the Dora Canal—it truly is one of the most beautiful and scenic passages in the world!
