Make a day of it with a paddle through the Dora Canal and a waterfront lunch at Fish Camp on Lake Eustis. A little nature, good food, and time to enjoy both! Your self-guided journey begins at Adventure Outdoor Paddle on Lake Dora, where you’ll launch your kayak or paddleboard and follow the shoreline to the Dora Canal. Paddle beneath towering cypress trees, watch for wildlife, and soak up the Old Florida scenery before continuing onto Lake Eustis to dock at Fish Camp. Settle in for a casual lakeside lunch with waterfront views. As a special perk, Paddle, Dock & Dine guests receive 10% off their entire tab at Fish Camp on Lake Eustis. After lunch, enjoy the scenery from a new direction as you paddle back through the canal to our launch on Lake Dora. This 5-hour rental includes an extra hour beyond our standard 4-hour rental, giving you time to explore, stop for photos, and enjoy your meal without rushing.

A paddle through the Dora Canal with a stop for lunch? That’s our kind of day!

You’ll head out from our launch on Lake Dora and follow the shoreline to the canal, where big cypress trees and Spanish moss shade the way. Take your time looking for turtles on logs and birds fishing along the banks. There’s always something that makes us stop and take a closer look, even after all the times we’ve paddled here.

From there, continue onto Lake Eustis and pull up to Fish Camp for lunch. Grab a seat on the covered deck, order something good, and enjoy being out on the water with nowhere else you need to be for a while. Our Paddle, Dock & Dine guests get 10% off their entire tab, too!

Some paddling experience is recommended, as this is a self-guided route that includes paddling through the canal and across open water on Lake Eustis.
It’s approximately 1.75 miles each way, depending on conditions and your exact route. Most guests spend about 1-1.5 hours paddling each direction. This excursion gives you amble time to relax and enjoy your dining experience.
Yes! We now offer a one-way paddle option with pickup service for an additional fee. You’ll paddle from Lake Dora to The Fish Camp, enjoy your brunch, and we’ll meet you there at a scheduled time to bring you (and your gear) back to our launch location. It’s a great choice if you prefer a more relaxed morning or if you're not up for the return paddle.
No, The Brunch Voyage is self-guided. We’ll provide a route overview and safety tips before you head out.
Expect some splashes, especially if you're paddling on Lake Eustis when there's a light breeze. Dress comfortably while on the water and wear shoes that can get wet. Jeans are not recommended. Some guests like to bring a change of clothes for after their paddle.
Yes, but we recommend this activity for ages 10 and up, especially since it involves a longer paddle and time on open water. For ages 13 and under, we would recommend going in a tandem kayak with an adult.
If weather conditions are unsafe (lightning, high winds, etc.), we will contact you to reschedule or offer a full refund.

You’ll be exploring at your own pace, so basic paddling experience is recommended.

Bring the essentials

We recommend a hat, sunscreen, refillable water bottle, and dry bag or waterproof pouch for your phone (we also sell dry bags at our waterfront shop on Lake Dora).

Timing matters

On weekends the motorboat traffic can get heavy, so we recommend launching early for the best experience through the Dora Canal.

Cancellation Policy

Cancel 24 hours or more in advance – Receive a full refund minus non-refundable credit card processing fees. Trip Protection Option: Guests who add Trip Protection at checkout may cancel up to the start time of their activity for a full refund, minus non-refundable processing fees. (Highly recommend).
